Jay Tullos is in his 30th year in public education. Mr. Tullos served as a teacher, coach, testing coordinator, and K-12 principal before stepping into the role of superintendent of Douglass ISD in 2006.
Before coming to Ennis ISD, Mr. Tullos served as superintendent of Canton ISD since 2009. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University in 1993. Mr. Tullos also holds a Master's Degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Mr. Tullos and his wife Amy, who is an EISD 3rd grade teacher at Austin Elementary, have two grown children, Grant and Mattie.
