Families in Transition
This program is designed to provide year-round developmentally appropriate support services to Pre-K, elementary, junior high, and high school students in transitional living situations. The primary focus of the program is to provide continuity for the learner and positive experiences while utilizing instruction and education-related activities.Services
Identify students who lack permanent housing.
Help students enter into the most appropriate program for school success.
Refer students and their families to the appropriate community resources for their needs
(housing, clothes, food, etc).
Encourage good grades and school attendance
Help with school enrollment and breakfast/lunch services
Visit families as needed.
Encourage college and training programs after high school.
Provide tutoring, counseling, and social skills programs.
